There’s More Than Luck to Safe Plastic Surgery

A safe, successful cosmetic procedure can make you feel more like yourself and give you greater confidence for years to come. A safe procedure is about more than just luck – finding an experienced, board-certified cosmetic surgeon is critical to getting the results you desire. Any licensed physician can call themselves a ‘cosmetic’ surgeon, even if they have never completed training in an ABMS approved Plastic Surgery Residency program.

Surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) complete a minimum of six years of surgical training following medical school, including a plastic surgery residency program. They are trained to prevent and handle emergencies, and have a comprehensive education to ensure a patient’s safety. This extensive training provides technical skills, as well as the aesthetic judgement needed to provide the best care and results.

Dr. Poulter is certified by the ABPS and is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He also is certified in Advanced Education in Cosmetic Surgery. Since 1992, he has earned the trust of thousands of patients.

A 2016 study also showed a higher level of safety with cosmetic surgeries performed in accredited facilities. Our surgical suite is accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAASF) to ensure you feel comfortable, secure and cared for every step of the way.
