Refine your pout with VOLBELLA®

If you’ve been thinking about enhancing your lips, we have exciting news! Earlier this year, the FDA approved VOLBELLA® as a new treatment option for lip augmentation. VOLBELLA® is a member of the JUVÉDERM® family of products by Allergan, and can help reduce vertical lip lines, accentuate the border of your lips, and enhance the ‘cupid’s bow’ of your mouth. It is also recommended for its soft consistency that mimics the natural feeling of your lips.

VOLBELLA® works as a hydrator of the lips – it’s essentially like airbrushing the lips so less volume is needed to improve the fine lines. It’s a great choice as a first time lip injection in patients who are nervous about the size of their lips. VOLBELLA® is used in conjunction with JUVÉDERM® for those wanting both volume and the hydrating effect.

VOLBELLA® is the first product of its kind in the U.S. to be formulated with VYCROSS, a filler technology engineered to address specific patient concerns such as lip fullness and/or loss of volume in the cheek or around the mouth due to aging. VYCROSS blends different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid which contributes to the gel’s duration. This technology is also said to result in less pain from injection, less swelling and a more natural looking result.

It’s important to use a qualified injector when getting any type of injectable. A good injector has a thorough knowledge of functional facial anatomy and understands the common and uncommon changes associated with facial aging. They have the ability to evaluate what is best for each individual patient. Dr. Poulter is a certified master injector and has taken Masters Injectors courses with Dr. De Maio, a world leader in aesthetic medicine. This experience makes Dr. Poulter both confident and precise when performing injections.

We are excited to be in the first group of doctors in the central Illinois area to offer VOLBELLA®.
